William Arthur "Bill" Aldous

William Arthur "Bill" Aldous, 80, of West Chester, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Alice McIntyre Aldous, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
Born in Lebanon, Indiana, Bill was the son of the late Arthur and Olive Marklend Aldous.
Before retiring, he was the Senior Vice President of Planco Financial Services.
Bill enjoyed a good poker game with the guys. He loved playing golf at Applebrook and Hershey's Mill. But most of all, he cherished his grandchildren and being their "Poppy".
In addition to his wife, Alice, Mr. Aldous is survived by his children, Brian Aldous, Valerie Waters (Garry), Jamee Miller (Duane), Joshua Aldous (Shannon Leahey) and April Aldous; brothers, James Aldous and Mark Aldous (David Campbell); sisters, Mary Anne Wright (John), Jean Herron (Dan), and Lynn Aldous; grandchildren, Anthony Waters, Jennifer Tomaw (John), Andrew Waters, Joseph Waters, Sadie Miller, and Bennett Miller; and nine great grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by his grandson, James Waters.
Bill's family will be receiving relatives and friends from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
