BENTON -- Grace W. Thompson, 89, of Benton died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 7, 1908, in Flora, Ill., daughter of Ben and Jermina Lawrence Harrison. She first married Tillman Hodgkiss Nov. 27, 1925, at Randles. He died Jan. 22, 1938. She then married Raymond Young Oct. 17, 1942, at Farmington. He died Aug. 18, 1963. She later married Joe Thompson June 8, 1973, at Benton. He died Jan. 13, 1978.

Thompson worked at Thorngate Ltd. 33 years, retiring in 1964. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and Senior Citizens at Benton, Elks Auxiliary at Chaffee, and VFW Auxiliary at Morley.

Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Diebold of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Frank Harrison of Denver, Colo., Bob Harrison of St. Louis; a sister, LaDonna Patrick of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers, two sisters, and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dale Huff officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley.
