David J. DeLeon passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2008.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
David was a lifelong resident of Arlington and Fort Worth. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Lockheed-Martin as an aircraft project planner in 1996, when he joined an Arlington law firm, Hill Gilstrap, P.C., as a facilities manager.
He was a member of the Masons, Arlington Heights Lodge 1187, Moslah Temple and served many years in its Clown Unit.
He was a member of Connell Baptist Church. He gave much of his time in life serving children, at All Church Home, through the Clown Unit and many other functions, and dedicated his last years particularly to his grandchildren.
His life was a commitment to bringing smiles and happiness to all who knew him.
Survivors: Wife, Dolores DeLeon of Fort Worth; children, Cynthia DeLeon Hill of Arlington, Brian DeLeon of Fort Worth, Patty Crockett of Richardson, Michael Taylor of Fort Worth and Randy Taylor of Garland; and grandchildren, Maddie and Claire Hill, Destiny, Shelby, Robert and Hunter DeLeon, Cheyne Smith, Carleigh Crockett, Briana, Cameron, Colin and Liam Taylor.
