Darlene Courtright Kuhn, 86, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at her home in Glencoe, Oklahoma.
Darlene was born on February 4, 1936, in Mehan, Oklahoma to Edward and Bessie (Redfearn) Courtright.
She grew up most of her life in Glencoe and graduated from Glencoe High School in 1956.
After high school, she married James Kuhn on June 3, 1956, and became a beauty practitioner and owned and operated her Beauty shop in Glencoe. She retired from Moore Business Forms after 17 years. She was a 50 plus year member of the order of the Eastern Star, a member and special song leader of the church.
She enjoyed cooking and baking as well as being a major contributor to the family farm for many years. She was always passionate supporter of her family and enjoyed watching them grow.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Bessie Courtright, her siblings Girdie May Wheatley and husband Sonny, Ralph Courtright, Bill Courtright, brother-in-law, Frank Eyl.
Darlene is survived by her husband James, her children Dr. James F. Kuhn and Pattie Runge, Jeffrey Adolph Kuhn and wife Jean, Cynthia Marie Allen, and husband Doyne, and Jon Daniel Kuhn and wife Renae. Her grandchildren, Jon Kuhn, Dianna Kuhn, Andrew Kuhn, Cassandra Hughes, Ryan Hughes as well as her great grandchildren, Abel Kuhn, Jonah Kuhn, and Liam Hughes. She is also survived by her siblings, Nina Eyl and Dean Courtright and wife Sharon, as well as her sister-in-law, Ella Rose Courtright and Melinda Courtright.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 1-8P.M. at Dighton Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Glencoe United Methodist Church in Glencoe, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow at Glencoe South Cemetery in Glencoe, Oklahoma. Dighton Marler Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
