"A sting by a yellowjacket sustained two weeks ago caused the death of James Grady McBryde, aged 36, of Palmyra, at the Davis Hospital here early today. Despite treatment, the wound refused to heal and caused blood poisoning. He was brought to the hospital shortly after midnight this morning but his condition grew worse and he died about 4 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Dorothy Lee and Doris Jean; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. McBryde of Palmyra; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence Green of Star City and three brothers, Willie, Ray and Charlie McBryde of Palmyra.
He was a member of the Baptist Church and of the American Legion Post at Conway."
