Ila L. Grinstead, 90 of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Ila was born September 11, 1932 in Morgan Township, Owen County, Indiana to the late Loren T. and Lessie V. Haltom.

She was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. Ila worked in the accounting and payroll department of Western Electric for 26 years. She later worked as a real estate agent. Ila enjoyed golfing, cooking and baking.

Ila was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was an officer in the United Methodist Women. Ila was an usher at Civic Theater and in 2007 was named by the Westfield Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year.

Ila was the widow of Leslie R. McGuire.

She is survived by her children, Sandy L. Kirkwood (Richard Grana), Cary A. McGuire, Jeffery C. McGuire (Robin); 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Mustard and brothers, Loren V. and Charles E. Haltom.
