Kenneth E. Williamson of Georgetown, DE left this world peacefully on November 10, 2022 at Christiana Hospital with family by his side. He was 87.
Loving husband of Carol Lee Williamson of Georgetown, loving father of Sharon Marie (Frank) Dunston of Seaford, DE and Kenneth Christopher (Sandra) Williamson of Greenwood, DE. He is also survived by two brothers, Paul Williamson of Milford, DE and John Williamson of Beaver Creek, OH, a sister, Nancy Bennett of Greenwood, DE, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
Kenneth graduated from Greenwood High School with the class of 1953, and went on to the University of Delaware where he graduated in 1956. He had a successful career at the Sussex County Health Department, where he retired after 30 years. For 20 years he had a second career as a successful owner, trainer and driver in the Harness Horses Racing business. He loved spending time with family and friends, loved the great outdoors hunting and fishing, and loved antiquing.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:00 at Todd's Chapel Cemetery in Greenwood where he will be laid to rest near his parents, the late John Emory Williamson and Jessie Evelyn Adams Williamson. The family will receive friends at the Framptom Funeral Home - Fleischauer Chapel from 12:30 to 1:30.
