Arthur R. Ash, of New Albany and formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, at Autumn Woods in New Albany.
He was born Aug. 22, 1935, at Wheatland, Indiana, to William and Lillian (Hicks) Ash. He served in the United States Air Force and had been a banker for Tri-County Banks.
His memberships included the American Legion Post #72, Moose Lodge, V.F.W., Color Guard and Whitesville Christian Church.
He is survived by his children, Mendy Roberts (James) of Whitestown and Greg (Terri) Ash of Sellersburg; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Cletus, Paul, Emogene and Rosalie.
Funeral services are scheduled for noon Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with military rites by the American Legion and United States Air Force. Pastor Andy Schindler will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery on Grant Avenue. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
