HIGH POINT Mrs. Emma Allen Truesdale, 86, a resident of 600 Runyon Drive, died Friday, May 21, 2004, at her residence.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m., at Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dr. Dewey W. Smith. Burial will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens.

She was born Sept. 21, 1917, in Glenola, a daughter of James Carl and Persavia Poole Allen. For most of her adult life she was a resident of High Point, and a faithful member of Brooks Memorial Methodist Church, which later merged with St. Mark Methodist Church to form the now Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a member of United Methodist Women Group 2, former member of the choir and the Bible class. Civically, she was a former member of the Rose Garden Club, and a den mother for the Boy Scouts. Her husband, Gonzalee Truesdale, two daughters, Harriett Hoke and Rev. Annie Boyd, and all siblings, all preceded her in death.

Family visitation will be at the church Wednesday, 1:30 p.m., and other times at the residence.

Contributions may be directed to the Emma Truesdale Scholarship Fund, c / o Memorial United Methodist Church, 1327 Cedrow Drive, High Point, N.C. 27260.
