Mary S. Boal, 89, native of Rochester, died Wednesday evening, June 20, at Burlington Memorial hospital, where she had been taken following a fall.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Buda, Ill. with interment in the Hopeland cemetery at Buda. Survivors are a son, William of Chicago; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Boal, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bingham Stetson, was born February 4, 1862, at the old Stetson farm, now operated by Schwidler. She was a teacher in the Hewitt school, now known as the Pleasant view school.
During World War I Mrs. Boal spent three years in England where she did Red Cross work. For the past five years she has been living with her cousin, Mrs. Ray Earle.
