Mrs O M (Ruth Barnett) Bankston of Alpharetta died Wednesday morning in a private hospital after an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Thursday at Spring Hill Chapel. The Rev J Kenneth Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.

Mrs Bankston was a fourth grade teacher at Ammie L Dodd grammar school near Alpharetta. She formerly taught at the Lakewood Heights grammar school here.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs W H Barnett, Alpharetta; three sisters, Mrs Mark E Thompson and Mrs J R Flack, Alpharetta; Miss Hattie Barnett, Atlanta; two brothers, W Hugh and Robert S Barnett, Alpharetta; three step-daughters, Mrs Peter M Meyer, Atlanta; Mrs F C Sims and Miss Margaret Bankston, Jacksonville, Fla.
