Raymond R. Sherer, 81, 100 North Jefferson St., Dayton, died Saturday at the Parkview manor Nursing Home. He was a native of Eaton and formerly owned and operated Sherer's Ice Cream Store 5130 West Third St., Dayton, until his retirement in 1963.
He was a member of the New Lebanon Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his widow, Iva E.; a son, Robert R., of Dayton; a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Bennett of Bellbrook; two brothers, Chester Sherer of Eaton and Judge Paul Sherer of Dayton; a sister Mrs. Grace Mitchell of Dayton; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Sherer were held Tuesday at the Carrigan Funeral Home, 2201 North Main St., Dayton with Rev. T.T. Diehl officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery at Eaton.
