Theresa L. Zela, 83, died Nov. 16, 2010, at Mount Carmel Healthcare Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on July 12, 1927, to Edward and Margaret (Peatfield) McGuire. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
She was educated at the former OLPH Elementary School and graduated from Central High School in 1945. On April 10, 1948, she married Russell Zela at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and together they shared 62 years of married life.
She will be cherished as a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
IN HER LIFE: She is survived by her husband, Russell Zela of Manchester; a son, Russell W. Zela and his wife, Gloria, of Oakhill, Fla.; a daughter, Patricia A. Hines of Weare; five grandchildren, Eric Martel of Goffstown, Rebecca Hines of Weare, Lee Cloutier and his wife, Allison, of New Hampshire, Jeff Cloutier of Manchester and Jeremy Zela of Alpharetta, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Dylan and Brandon Martel and Ellie Cloutier; two brothers, Tim McGuire and James McGuire, both of New Hampshire; three sisters, Connie Brown, Dottie Grzegorcgy and Margaret McGuire, all of Manchester; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Edward McGuire, Paul McGuire, Robert McGuire and William McGuire.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech St., corner of Hanover Street. A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
