Louis B. Sperber
July 8, 1927 — November 3, 2022

Age 95, of Banksville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 3, 2022. Beloved husband of 65 years to Sylvia (Moeller) Sperber. Loving father of Lori Sperber Chambers and Mark (Patty) Sperber. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Garry) Tom, Ryan Chambers, Nick Sperber, and Olivia Sperber, and great-grandfather of four. Son of the late Louis and Anna (Winkler) Sperber, brother of the late Howard and John Sperber, and uncle of Robert Sperber. Also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Lou was a Marine and a proud WWII veteran. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and worked for 35 years in the Marketing Research Department of Equitable Gas Company. He was a longtime member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church of Dormont. Lou enjoyed following all local sports teams, but most especially those of the University of Pittsburgh. He shared a great love of dogs with his family, and is now reunited with his best four-legged friend Taffy. Heartfelt thanks to Gallagher Hospice and the staff at St. Clair Health for the special care they provided to him. Funeral arrangements are private. Interment with military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Memorial donations in Lou's name may be made to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3104 W.
