Mary Jane Galley, 85, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Gary Galley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mary Jane was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Union County, N.M., where she was raised, and graduated from Clayton High School. She moved to Amarillo from Clayton in 1942. She married Charlie Galley on Feb. 22, 1947, in Amarillo. He passed away in 1994.

She was a loving wife, mother, prayer warrior and homemaker who loved to sew, paint china and work in the yard. She loved her Lord, her family and was a blessing to many. She was a charter member of First Assembly of God.

Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Galley Price of Amarillo; three sons, Gary Galley of Amarillo, Edwin Galley of Fritch and Gene Galley of McLean; a sister, Bethel Virden of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Angel, Misti, Leeanne, Charlie, Jonathan, Rachel, Cameron D. and Chad; and two great-granddaughters, Nikki and Victoria.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
