FLORENCE - Herminia C. Wood, 75, of Florence died Nov. 5, 2000 in Florence. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Florence Ward. The funeral there will follow at 10 a.m., with Bishop Richard Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Florence Cemetery. Mrs. Wood was born Oct. 14, 1925 in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Selundino and Maria Castillo. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Velma Linton of Florence; two sons, Billy Wood of Globe and John Wood Jr. of Florence; two sisters, Mercedes Castillo of Mexico and Celia Kartchner of Mammoth; two brothers, Isedo and Pedro Castillo of Mexico; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wood Sr., a sister; and a brother. Simes Mortuaries Florence Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
