Eve Marie McKinney, 86 of Nederland, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at her residence in Nederland.

Eve was born in Nederland on August 15, 1936 to the late Dave LeJunie and Mary Adaway LeJunie.

Eve was a strong and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved getting and receiving hugs. She enjoyed spending time with her son, Matthew watching football as well as a good Christmas movie any time of the year. Eve worked for over 16 years at the Nederland Independent School District where she served in the custodial department of C.O. Wilson Middle School.

Those left to cherish Eve's memory include her daughters, Debbie Fowler and her husband, Wayne of Jasper, Georgia, Diana Evans and her husband, Clifton of Cartersville, Georgia and Stella Alsop and her husband, William of Stella, Missouri, her sons, James Hugh McKinney of Port Arthur, Texas, Jean McKinney and his wife, Cindy of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Matthew McKinney of Nederland, Texas, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Eve is preceded in death by her parents, Dave LeJunie and Mary Adaway LeJunie and her brothers, Dave LeJunie and Andrew LeJunie.

A graveside inurnment service at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas will be scheduled at a later date.
