Maria Rosa Almanza Moran, age 75 of Cookeville and formerly of Chihuahua, Mexico passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Rosa was born August 30, 1947 in Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Luis Almanza and Isaura Moran.
She served the Lord alongside her husband as a Pastors Wife for over 30 years. After moving to Cookeville, she attended Cookeville First Baptist Church where she was a member of the ACT Sunday School class and helped with the mother's day out program.
She leaves behind her son: Abel (Raquel) Gomez; daughter: Rosa (Dimas) Aranda of Cookeville; sons: Caleb (Nancy) Gomez and Benjamin Gomez of Mexico; siblings: Herminia (Vicente) Medina, Javier (Marta) Almanza, Luis Almanza, Alicia Almanza, Patricia Almanza and Elizabeth Almanza - all of Chihuahua, Mexico and eight grandchildren: Bequer and Ezri Gomez, Samuel (Bekah), Gabriel and Keren Aranda, Sofia Gomez and Mariana Gomez.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Abel Gomez Gonzalez and sisters: Bertha and Marta Almanza.
Memorial services were held at First Baptist Church of Cookeville on Tuesday, November 1st.
