Brenda Joyce Campbell, age 76 of Lake Dallas, Texas peacefully ended her long and courageous battle against cancer at 9:53 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2022, surrounded by son, daughter and a granddaughter.

Joyce was married to Lonnie Ray Campbell on January 1, 1985 and predeceased her on April 6, 2011.

Joyce was born on April 29, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to William Mason and Frances Gay Nell Branam. "Bill" and Gay Nell provided their family with a Christian foundation and Joyce was a very active member of North Wilmer Baptist Church in Wilmer, Texas from 1956 through part of adulthood. She loved singing gospel music with her family at numerous special events, neighborhood and family gatherings. She graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1964 and her favorite subject was playing the drums in the band. She retired from Medical City, Lewisville, Texas in 2007 as an Administrative Assistant and was a successful Mary Kay beauty consultant for many years.

Joyce was patriotic and even got her early voting in this year! She loved music of any kind, especially if she could square dance to it or sing along. She loved reading, tending to her house plants and flowers and watching old movies. Teapot collecting was always appropriate. She was a great seamstress and in recent years she could be found knitting or crocheting hundreds of items to donate to charities.

Family was her passion, especially precious moments with her grandchildren. She had such a whimsical sense of fun...yes...that was her that you thought you saw floating down the Lazy River at Hurricane Harbor! Camping with her children and grandchildren was always a winner. Everyone could always count on her to attend family and friend gatherings with favorite potluck dishes. She was the custodian of the family genealogy which she worked on her whole life. Joyce loved her church family and was proud to serve especially through her work with grief care.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Ray Campbell, Maternal , Grandparents Albert W. and Katie Barnes, Paternal Grandparents Henry M. and Edna M. Branam, Parents William M. and Frances Gay Nell Branam, Sister in law Patty Ann Branam, Niece Regina Schmidt, Nephew Emory Branam.
