John Anthony Ahler passed away at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 9, 1986 at the age of 86. He was born in Lyons, WI on February 27, 1900 to Gehard and Josephine (Eiserbart) Ahler and came to Racine 68 years ago.
At St. Mary's Church in Burlington on October 6, 1926, he was united in marriage to the former Josephine Krug, who survives him along with a daughter, Joan (Patrick) McKeon of Kenosha; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Herbert, Rev, Aloysius and Joseph Ahler; two sisters, Hildagard Ahler and Mary DeVries; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine; two brothers, Anthony and Bernard Ahler and two sisters, Sr. Antonella and Lucy Voejkering.
Funeral services were held at St. Lucy's Catholic Church, 3035 Drexel Ave, with burial following at St. Mary's Cemetery, Burlington, WI.
