Little Halstead Child Dies After Long Illness
Hazel LaVern Halstead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Halstead, was born March 25, 1930 at Alfalfa and passed away at her home October 28, 1935, age 5 years, 7 months and 3 days. She leaves to mourn her father and mother, one sister, Eula Fern, her grandparents, a number of aunts and uncles and a host of friends.
La Vern took sick the first of June and has been a patients sufferer fighting for life until the last day. She told her mother she was going to be with Jesus in heaven. In her Sunday school class and in her story hour her happy sons and verses will be missed, but she has joined the heavenly hosts in their songs and praise.
La Vern has been a beautiful little flower blooming in her home and community and now has been transplanted to the Heavenly Father's garden to make heaven more beautiful and more inviting place for her loved ones and friends to come.
