C.A. Beall Rites Held Sunday At Carnegie Church
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist church for Clarence Aaron Beall, a retired farmer and carpenter of the Alfalfa and Carnegie communities. Burial was in the Alfalfa cemetery.
Rev. J.B. Shinn, pastor, officiated with Rev. Roy Autry, Mountain View, assisting.
Beall, 79, died Friday in an Oklahoma convalescent home where he had been the past three months. he was born September 26, 1880, at Winterset, Iowa. He was married to Miss Maude May Ogburn in 1903. They moved to Oklahoma in 1912, and later established a home on a farm near Alfalfa in 1918. They moved to Carnegie in 1941.
Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Beall, three of whom died in infancy. One son, Lonnie, died December 23, 1937. Mrs. Beall preceded him in death on January 20, 1950.
He was a member of the local First Baptist church and was ordained a deacon at the Alfalfa church in 1930.
He is survived by five children, Mrs. Velma Scott, Carnegie, E.A. Beall, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Hazel Holsted, Mountain View, Ervin Beall, Carnegie, and Cecil C. Beall, Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
