Please note: He was not born William, just Billie; born before Oklahoma became a state, and on the homestead near Warren when it was Greer County, Oklahoma Territory, which became Jackson County, OK, in Nov 1907 when OK became a state.

He married Ollie Frances Lucas 20 June 1925 Blair, Jackson, OK (ML#4566: Billie Clarence Winters of Hobart, Ollie Frances Lucas of Lone Wolf, married at Blair residence of Eld. G. L. Landers & Mrs. E. A. Landers (witness) & also witnessed by Lester Biddy)

Funeral services for Mr. B. C. Winters were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Methodist church, with Rev George Bishop officiating. Interment was in the Lone Wolf cemetery under the direction of the Peoples Funeral Home.

Mr. Winters was a lifetime resident of the Lone Wolf community and died Sunday evening at the General hospital in Hobart. He was 64 years of age, born July 3, 1903, near Warren/Blair, old Greer County, Oklahoma Territory.

Survivors are the wife Ollie of the home in Lone Wolf; a daughter Mrs. Hazel Schmidt; a son B. J. Winters, both of Lone Wolf; five grandchildren; one brother and one sister.

Pallbearers were Bob Garrod, Ralph Schreiner, Charley Jones, Harold Blevins, Robert Womack and Archie Godfrey. Honorary pallbearers were Lester Blevins, Jimmy Austin, Sam Godfrey, Dick Garrod, Herman Koester, Edgar Portwood, Ola Wheeler and Louis Cloud.
