AHOSKIE – Patricia Askew Poole of Ahoskie, NC departed this life on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.
A native of Hertford County, she was born on June 6, 1938 to the late Henry McKinley Lassiter and Blanche Hall Lassiter.
She was a member of Second Baptist Union Church. She worked as a Data Processor for New York Telephone Company.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Lou T. Poole of Ahoskie; one son, Anthony T. Askew (Shelia) of Chesapeake, VA; one daughter, Angela Askew (Bernard) of Jamaica, NY of Jamaica, NY; one brother, Carrington Lassiter (Ruth) of Ahoskie; one sister, Dana L. Askew of Ahoskie; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Second Baptist Union Church with the Rev. M. Bryan Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Ahoskie.
Hunter's Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
