In the autumn beauty surrounding her Salmon Idaho home, JoAnne Dallice Wahlen Bradley passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 17, 2022. She was 78.

JoAnn was born November 6, 1943 to Laura and Clarence Wahlen of Aberdeen, Idaho. She spent her childhood with siblings Maxine, Boyd, Karen, Gary, Jack, and Arlene attending Aberdeen schools. She was an excellent student and participated in drill team and cheerleading. She graduated from high school in 1961 along with the love of her life, Bruce J. Bradley. JoAnn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was very involved and the gospel of Jesus Christ became the cornerstone from which she built her life and the unconditional love of our Savior was something she continually taught and modeled for her children and grandchildren. Over all, her legacy is one of love, faith and caring for others. This legacy is one that her children will continually strive to carry on. JoAnn attended BYU for a short time, but then transferred to the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID. Bruce and JoAnn were married July 12, 1963 and sealed for time and eternity in the Cardston Alberta Canada Temple on July 14, 1965. They were married for 45 years before Bruce passed in 2009. They had seven children: Joel, Jared, Matthew, Christopher, Megan, Lindsey, and Andrew. The Bradley's eventually settled in Jerome, Idaho, where JoAnn served as accounting specialist and Business Manager of their several small businesses over the next 40 years. Her beloved husband, Bruce was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive types of cancer that begins within the brain. Despite numerous treatments, Bruce passed away on March 6, 2009. Her eldest son, Joel, passed away mere 4 months later. JoAnn remained at the helm of MSI (Microbial Vac Systems) with the help of Jared, her second son, and the staff until she retired. Upon retirement, she remained in Jerome spending time with family and great friends and lived with her loyal best buddy, her little corgi, Molly. Especially during these difficult times of trial and tribulation, JoAnn would turn to her family and faith for strength. It provided both spiritual and social needs, and she gave much of herself to the church, serving in various leadership positions throughout her life including Relief Society presidency, Primary presidency, Sunday school teacher, ministering sister and most recently Genealogy and Family Historian. JoAnn remained the base for all family gatherings, including the many "adopted" family members and kids she had collected over the years. Friends of her own kids lovingly always called her Mama B. Caring for such a large family and all their friends was the epitome of who JoAnn was. She worked hard to provide the best home possible for her husband and children and all of their many friends (which usually consisted of the bulk of the high school football team.) The groceries purchased to feed those football players would probably boggle the minds of most, but JoAnn welcomed all. Everyone was welcome at the table. She truly became a second mother for many. She would not only feed them and provide a bed to sleep at night, if needed, she would stay up and talk with and listen to them and offer words of understanding, compassion and wisdom. She truly cared for others and was given the strength to offer a warm and secure sanctuary for as long as needed. She always offered love and friendship. This was her core. Along with her faith as her mainstay, her children and their children were the greatest joy she could know. Three years ago, JoAnn decided to move to Salmon to be nearer her youngest daughter, Lindsey, and her family. In Salmon, JoAnn made new friends, while keeping in touch with the old. The beauty of the area kept her close to the beauty of nature that she had always loved. Days before her death, she picked apples, watched the changing color of leaves, listened to the sound of the river, and felt the beauty of nature created by our loving Heavenly Father. She had raised an incredible family and watched as they raised their own families. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than they could ever know. JoAnn had been diagnosed with heart issues when she was very young which never stopped her from living life to the fullest. Eighteen months ago, she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer that had metastasized to her bones. She determined that she would forgo chemo/radiation treatments, and thanks to Dr. David Hone, she felt little, if any pain using his naturopathic and Chinese Energetic Medicine skills, allowing her to live a vibrant, active and pain free life. JoAnn was known for her incredible sense of calm and her love of laughter, especially that of her children and grandchildren. It is well known that she was and is so proud of each and everyone of them and their continual beautiful contributions to this world.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Clarence Wahlen; all her siblings; her loving husband Bruce, and oldest son Joel, as well as Bruce's parents Doris and Verl Bradley; and many extended family members.

JoAnn is survived by her children: Jared Bradley (Marla) of Sandy, UT; Matthew Bradley (Emily) of Heber City, UT; Chris Bradley; (Beth) of Fairfield, ID; Megan Schroeder (Gordy) of Filer, ID; Lindsey Bradley of Salmon, ID and Andrew Bradley (Jennifer)of Jerome, Idaho. Also surviving are her beautiful granddaughters: Erin(Michael), Sara, Kristi, Kaila(Ryan), Nicole, Kessika Toombs, Sydni, Aliza, Ella, and Alaura and handsome grandsons, Connor, Caden, and Brendan, Mikey, Joel, Jon, Asher and Kristopher and one great grandson (Alastor).

A Memorial Service for Joann will be held October 29, 2022 at Lakeview LDS Church, 800 S 2120 W Springfield, Idaho at 12 pm. Burial will follow the service at the Springfield Cemetery. A Zoom link will be available to view the services (to be posted soon).

The family extend their special thanks to Dr. David S Hone for JoAnn's specialized health care; the Salmon EMS, and Jones and Casey Mortuary and Fleurish Floral in Salmon and all the special friends and family who have reached out in love.
