Alva E. Benedum, 68, shot and killed his wife Ethel, 65, at his home here today and then turned the gun on himself, police reported. Coroner G. J. Talbott returned a verdict of suicide and murder.
Benedum, a retired refinery worker, called the police this morning and told them he shot his wife. When officers arrived, they found the couple dead on the kitchen floor.
