Phillip Matthew Entler, 93, of Mansfield, died Friday, September 30, 2022. He was born July 1, 1929, in Cleveland to the late Iven and Luella (Houghton) Entler and was a graduate of Greenwich High School.

Phillip was a member of the Ohio State Guard Unit and the U.S. Navy Seabees, retiring after 22 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 16 of Mansfield, Ohio, and started the Navy Seabees Veterans of America Island X-10 in Mansfield.

An electrician by trade, Phillip worked for Westinghouse, the City of Mansfield, the Village of Greenwich, Ohio Edison, and Flexi of Loudonville before retiring in 1989 from the MI-AI Tank Plant in Lima. He attended Ashland Christian Church and volunteered for 21 years at Round Lake Christian Camp. Phillip enjoyed camping, hunting, and traveling. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Patricia C. (Pope) Entler; children, Randy (Vicky) Entler of Port Charolotte, FL and Sandy Risner-Walker of Greenwich; grandchildren, Alicia Entler-Lamouthe, Rochelle Entler-Jarvis, Joshua (Jill) Risner and Dustin (Kristin) Risner; great grandchildren, Allysa, Elizabeth, Addie, Asher and Linus; and his sister, Emily Barnes of Wadsworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Betty and Russell Entler.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service at the Greenwich Church of Christ, located at the corner of Townsend and Tilton Street in Greenwich.
