Josephine L. "Lucy" Foster, 79, of 4015 Sawmill Road, Petersburg, passed away at 8:11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at her home.

She was born July 14, 1943, in Belleville, a daughter of the late Franklin T. and Thelma B. (Young) Wilson. On Oct. 21, 1961, she married Wilber P. Foster. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2005.

Lucy is survived by: her children, Suzanne Angstrom, Stacy Grubb, Patty Bliss and husband Brian, Michael Foster and wife Darla; two sisters, M. Ann Fleck and Susan Foster and husband William; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, as well as many special nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph M. Foster, a daughter-in-law, Christina Foster, a grandson, Bradley Grubb and a great-granddaughter, Amber Bowman.

She was a 1961 graduate of Huntingdon High School. She was primarily a homemaker and a lifetime member of Girl Scouts and a member of the Redbud Quilt Club. Lucy enjoyed doing cross stitch, quilting, watching Westerns on TV, spending time with her family and she loved going to Dairy Queen.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at Henderson Funeral Home, Belleville, with Ed Yoder officiating. Burial will take place at Mooresville Cemetery following the service. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, at the funeral home.
