Thelma is survived by her children, Douglas Burkle (Karen Marin), Eric Burkle (Shirlean Northrup) and Jeffrey (Kris) Burkle all of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Benjamin, Sara, Johannah, Abigail, Jacob, Jessica, Angela, Aaron, and Carol (Billy); 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters Peggy Garrett, Frances Blume, and Carolyn Dickey; brother Paul Tuck; aunt Martha Carver; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Steven Burkle and Debbie Burkle; brothers, Baxter, Mac, and Jimmy Tuck; and sister, Anne Tuck.
Thelma was born on October 27, 1934, in Roxboro, North Carolina, the daughter of Harvey and Doxie Culver Tuck. She graduated from Roxboro High School in 1952 and attended Lotts School of Nursing and Coe College. In 1988, she married Kenneth McMillan in Williamsburg. She worked as a registered nurse and then for Amana Refrigeration for 27 years where she served as a union representative.
Thelma was a good woman who loved to help people. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, and softball.
