Roland Adams, age 84, of Lakeland, passed away on June 13, 2022.
A native of Crestview, Florida, he was the son the of the late William Jack and Nancy Adams.
He is survived by his children, Joseph "Darrell" Touchton (Kris), William Jack (Diane) Adams, Tracy Adams Chaves, and Jeffery Roland (Maritza) Adams. His grandchildren, Candice (Jason), Chris, Aubrey, JT, Sierra, Garron, Kendall, and Adella, and great-grandchildren, Aaron, Annabelle, Kayson, and Easton. He leaves behind his siblings, William Paul "Rosey" Adams, Eugene Jackson "Buster" Adams, and Donald Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vivian Faye, and his brother Billy Joe Adams.
Roland worked as an industrial paint contractor for OB Cannon & Sons for many years and was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT). He was also a member of the Northside Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed freshwater fishing, hunting, bluegrass, and flea markets. He loved his family and absolutely adored his grandchildren. He was devoted to his loving wife, Vivian, for 50 years before she passed away in 2015. He was truly a saint, a humble man, who cared for others before himself. It was impossible to find a single person to say anything bad about Roland. Everything was "Cool beans", and he lived his life according to Family, Fishing & Faith.
The family will receive friends on June 18, 2022, from 10-11 AM at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, Lakeland, FL. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 12:30 at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland, FL
