William Cecil Barrick, 98, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late James Hershel Barrick and Lula Ada Kinslow Barrick and husband of the late Vada Brown Renfro Barrick. Mr. Barrick was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church and a retired farmer.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Maggard of Loda, Ill.; a son, Billy Barrick (Dean) of Glasgow; six grandchildren: Karen Foster, Wanda Duke-Scott, Sandie Crabtree, Debbie Gustafson, Gary Maggard and Clifton Maggard; 12 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Joe Barrick of Glasgow; and a special friend, Margaret Crabtree of Glasgow.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Erroll Maggard; a grandchild, David Maggard; four brothers and one sister.

burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
