Elsie Loraine Boian Arvin, age 80, of Wisemantown Road, Irvine died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born Dec. 5, 1927 in Estill County, the daughter of the late Earl and Allie Tuttle Boian. She attended the Ravenna Church of God where she served for many years as the Sunday School secretary. She had been a long-time employee of Bonny's Grocery in Irvine. She had lived in Estill County all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Wilson Arvin.

Survivors include one daughter, Wilma Miller and husband, Doug of Estill County; two sons, Dennie Arvin and wife Ella of Estill County, Paul Jack Arvin and wife Arleene of Madison County; one foster daughter, Kimberly St. Saviour and husband Jerry of Maine; one sister, Reva Shaw of Indiana; one brother, Rev. Billy D. Boian of Estill County; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
