He owned and operated the Circle S Glass Co in Alexandria. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church and he was a Mason.
He is survived by his mother, Kate Smith; his wife, Doris Smith; three sons, George, Don, and Curtis Jr; a brother, W D Smith; sister, Mrs. G W Herring; two half-sisters, Mrs. J Fatheree and Mrs. D D Gill; and two grandchildren.
