Comanche - HENRY DAVID PERKINS, 63, of Comanche, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, in his home.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Comanche First Baptist Church, with Bill Crews and Harry Mayes officiating. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
David was born Nov. 13, 1944, in Paducah, Texas, to Marvin and Estelle Morris Perkins.
David served as a fireman for River Oaks, Texas, for more than 31 years, and also had worked for the City of River Oaks for more than 21 years. After his retirement in 2001, he moved to Comanche to make his home.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and making model airplanes. He married Lillian Marline Newman on Jan. 3, 1992.
David is survived by his wife, Marline of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Leo and Shirley Angel of Lake Granbury, Texas; four daughters, Micheil Cheskro and husband Allen of Michigan, Alice Collin and husband Corell of Tulsa, Lori Joe Abughazalch and husband Elice of Campbellsville, Ky., and Kimberly Perkins of Colorado; his mother, Estell Perkins of Ft. Worth, Texas; three brothers, Gary Allen Perkins of River Oaks, Texas, Frank Don Perkins of West Worth, Texas, Franklin Duke Perkins and wife Renne of Grandview, Texas; three sisters, Lavina Ann Hancock of Ft. Worth, Susan Linda King of West Worth, Nita Marie Perkins of White Settlement, Texas; seven grandsons, Jason, David, Michael and James Abt, Robert and Bradley Cheskro and Albert Thomas II; two granddaughters, Jazzamine and Skyelynn Rose Clousk; three great-grandchildren, Cory, Carrie and Alyssa Jade Abt; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Perkins; four brothers, Earney, Melvin, Jimmy and Rodger Marvin Perkins; and two sisters, Helen Janett and June Ethal Perkins.
