Virginia Ellen was the daughter of Melvin and Lillie (Vann) Redick. She was born in Oklahoma and then the family moved to Merced, California. She went to school in Merced and joined the Campfire Girls. This helped her to break through her shyness. By the time she had reached High School her family moved to Fresno. She entered Fresno High School and played on the softball team. After that, she met Bill LeRoy and married him on Nov. 11th, 1949. Virginia's passing proceeds her parents, her husband Bill, her son David and her grandson Chad. She is survived by her daughter Konnie and her two great-grandsons Dustin and Colby.
