He was a member of the Bridge Street Church of Christ, New Martinsville, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Ada Fletcher Brown; son, Ronnie; three sisters, Lela Brown, Helen Fetty, Barbara Edgell; and brother, John Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Millie; son, Dwain (Dena); and daughter, Judy (Gary) Smith, all of Reader; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was 2-9 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2008 at Williams Funeral Home, 226 N. SR 20, Pine Grove, W.Va., where services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, with Greg Morris officiating.
Interment in Milburn Cemetery in Reader.
Memorial contributions may be made in "Doc's" name to Short Line Ambulance, WCEAA, Equipment Fund, P.O. Box 515, New Martinsville, WV 26155.
Full military graveside services will be conducted by American Legion Post 86 of Paden City, American Legion Post 28 of New Martinsville, American Legion Post 87 of Sistersville and VFW Post 6327 of Sistersville.
