Yesterday at 5 p.m. Winfield Scott Adkins,76, of Sias, Lincoln County, suffered fatal injuries when his car ran off the highway and over a hillside off Wva Secondary 1 near Spurlocksville. Serriff Wiley Stowers said Adkins vehicle struck another vehicle, apparently causing him to lose control. Adkins was pronounced dead at 6 p.m. at a doctors office in West Hamlin.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Cosby Gorth of Sias; three sons Maynard and Wallace of Sias, and Cletus of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Collins Knob Church. The Rev Ebb Cummings will officiate. Burial will be in the Goldsbury Cemetery at Sias.
