Maxine A. (Meikle) Mulvane, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Sept. 19, 2015 at the age of 80, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Maxine was born April 23, 1935 to her loving parents, Stephen & Mabel Meikle. She grew up and attended school in the Menan, Lewisville, and Roberts area.

Maxine married the love of her life, David Mulvane and moved to Oregon, where they spent their lives together, sharing a fairy tale kind of love story.

Maxine was an artist who loved to paint landscapes on just about anything from canvas, to metal saw blades, to unique natural stones. She loved spending time outdoors with her husband, fishing, picnicking, and driving through the countryside - always in search of something to photograph and later create paintings of. Maxine was a lover of her dogs, and gave many four-footed friends a wonderful life.

She relocated to Idaho Falls from Medford, OR, two years ago, after suffering a stroke, and was a resident at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

During the last two years of her life she blessed many of the residents at Good Samaritan with her "full of life and love" personality, as well as being a God-given gift to her sister Nola, niece and nephew Sheila and Steven Schmid, who loved and cared for her abundantly to the end of her life here on earth.

Maxine loved The Lord, and although confined to a wheelchair, was blessed by being able to attend on-site Sunday Worship Services at Good Samaritan's Chapel, led by Pastor John.

Her parents, husband, two brothers, Wendell Meikle and Gary Meikle, and her step-son Ray Mulvane preceded her in death.

She is survived by her younger sister, Nola (Meikle) Tinker, of Idaho Falls, two sisters-in-law Nada Meikle and Linda Meikle Steed, four step-children Mike Mulvane, Sue Taylor, Carole Mulvane, and Dotti Mulvane, all from Washington/Oregon area, and numerous nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

Many thanks to the wonderful care-givers at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, as well as her local doctors, who tended to Maxine's medical needs and loved on her in the final season of her life. There will be a celebration of her life at 1 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015, in the chapel at Good Samaritan Nursing Center, 840 E. Elva in Idaho Falls. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.coltrinmortuary.com
