She was born in Weston on February 2, 1930, the only child of the late Adam Hunter Alderman and Mildred Regina Bright Alderman.
On June 23, 1956, Nancy married the love of her life, Waynard Hayes Smith. Together they shared 20 wonderful years.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was greeted at Heaven's Gate by one son, David Wayne Smith.
Nancy is survived by two close friends and neighbors: Marsha "Joan" Brown and Ralph Simons.
Nancy was Baptist by faith. Over the years, she held various jobs but her favorite was cook. Nancy was employed in the cafeteria at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital for many years but she especially enjoyed cooking at an assisted living facility.
Nancy's request for Burial at Harrisville I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Ritchie County will be held at a later date.
