Minnie Melvira Davis was the daughter of Miles Jefferson and Hester Ann "Georgie" Newcomb Davis. Her sisters were Winnie Elvira Godfrey and Delvi Wilson. She was a member of the Nan Hughes Class of the First United Methodist Church in Benton, Arkansas. She was a great cook and the best cake maker ever.
