Everett Langley was not born in Gurdon, Arkansas, even though his obituary states that he was. He was born near the Kansas Road and Beech Creek. The closest community was Whelen Springs.

"Logansport - Funeral services for Everett A. Langley, 67, of Logansport, who died Saturday after a long illness, will be held at 10 a.m. today in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Logansport with the Rev. Lamar Duncan, pastor of Missionary Baptist Church in Logansport, officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, Texas. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Albert Langley of Howe, Texas, and Harold Langley of Irving, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Rita Miles of McKinney, Texas; two sister, Mars. Mary McFall of Kemp, Texas, and Mrs. Sophia Abbott of Benton, Ark; and ten grandchildren." (The Times, Shreveport, Louisiana, June 23, 1975, page 3.)
