Harlan Viva, 94, of rural Albion, died July 5, 2006 at Parkview Whitley Hospital. She had been employed at Wirk Garment Industries Inc. in Ligonier. She was a member of Green Center United Methodist Church. She was born Feb. 2, 1912 in Green Twp, Noble County, to Otis and Maggie (Diffendarfer) Owen. She married George Harlan on Jan. 30, 1937. He died Aug. 5, 1973. She married Harold "Peter" Harlan on Jan. 31, 1976. Surviving are her husband; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Philip Dunn of Albion; a son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Susie of Albion; 3 stepdaughters; a sister, Ruth Ott of Albion; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Hazel Wilson, Clara Boggs and Mildred Gross; and a brother, Homer Owen. Services Friday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery
