David Gilbert Valenzuela age 67 passed on to the World Above on Sunday Sept.11th 2022 to join his Creator and parents; Darlene Stone Patterson, Gilbert Valenzuela, Patrick Patterson, bro Timothy Patterson, Tios Ronny, Mickey and Joey Valenzuela other friends and family members who will greet him at the Pearly Gates. He leaves behind his life-partner Rita, sisters Dena and Karon and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nephews and nieces. Dave was a selfless, loving man who never failed to help his family, friends, the stranger stranded on the side of the road. He had great empathy for children, the elderly and the vulnerable. He was a jack-of-all-trades and worked many years as a painter, a maintenance man and other odd jobs that gave him the freedom to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. He kept in touch with various family members through phone calls, cards and occasional visits. He spent the last few years of his life exploring the beauty of Oregon's waterfalls and beach. We pray God and his Heavenly Court will have mercy on David's soul and consider the many tears shed over his passing and the suffering he endured as he courageously battled kidney cancer during the last years of his life. David passed peacefully in his sleep in his own home under the loving care of his life-partner Rita and the compassionate professionals of the Sacred Heart Hospice Team.
