Judy Jeanette Brown, age 71, of St. Augustine, passed away on October 3, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center South. She was born to Felton and Jeanette (Woodard) Williams in Macon, Georgia on June 20, 1950. At the age of 13 she moved with her family to Jacksonville, FL. where she attended Wolfson High School, graduating with the class of 1968. She met the love of her life, Terry Brown, who was a fellow employee working in the credit department at Sears Department store in Jacksonville. Judy married Terry on June 12, 1971. She lived in many locations following the career of Terry's career as a Navy officer. She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker and worked for many years in banking. She had been a resident of St. Augustine since 2003. She was an avid Florida Gators fan and loved to entertain, especially during the holidays. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Terry D. Brown of St. Augustine; a son, Matthew Dyer Brown and his wife Betty Ruth of Jacksonville, a sister, Sandra Dougherty of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Sofia and Ella King; and a niece, Kelly Rumbach of Jacksonville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Walsh Brown, and a brother in law, Alan Dougherty.
Private services and interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
