Born on May 20, 1932, in Powell, Okla. to Foster and Claira Gray Southerland, she died on Feb. 2, 2008, in Ardmore. She and Elmer Lee Cryer were married in 1953 in Madill. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Hertis Cryer; her parents; an infant grandchild; four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a son, Clinton Cryer and wife, Sharon, Hobart; two daughters, Charlotte Cryer Hills and husband, Davey Hills, Ardmore, Tina Slone and husband, Earl, Ada; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Fort Worth, Texas.
Bearers will be Clinton Cryer, Davey Hills, Earl Slone, Justin Turner, Trinity Hills and Daniel Turner.
