Lisa Dawn Gumbel Lee, 44, of Fulton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at her home. She was born July 22, 1963 in Evansville, Indiana a daughter of Donald Daniel Gumbel and his wife Sarah of Elberta, Alabama and Loretta June Kirkpatrick Englebright of Mt. Vernon, Indiana. On April 26, 1997 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Paul Lee who survives at their home.

In addition to her parents and husband, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Joshua Lee Gumbel and Austin Dale Lee of Fulton, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Mary Gumbel of Foley, Alabama; maternal grandmother, Bessie Wells of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; one brother, Brian Lee Petty and his wife Jennifer of Mt. Olive, Illinois; one step-brother, Randy Petty of Evansville, Indiana; two aunts, Mary Kissel of Evansville, Indiana and Patricia Crowdus and her husband Douglas of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; one uncle, Robert Gumbel and his wife Linda of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; one niece, Molly Beth Petty; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Thelma Lee of Mt. Olive, Illinois; numerous cousins; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, August (Gus) Gumbel, her maternal grandfather, Walter Kirkpatrick, one son, Zachary Paul Lee, two uncles, John W. Kirkpatrick and Robert Kirkpatrick, one aunt, Betty Kirkpatrick and her step-grandfather, Homer Wells.

Lisa worked as an administrative assistant for the State of Missouri Department of Social Services. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. She graduated in 1981 from Mt. Vernon High School then in 1983 she graduated from Lockyear Business College with Presidential Honors in Evansville, Indiana with an Associate Degree in Computer Programming and Accounting. She enjoyed gourmet cooking, reading, sewing, and taking care of her family.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Becker and Sons Funeral Home in Mt. Olive, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2007 at Becker and Sons Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at held at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olive, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Blvd., Fulton, Missouri 65251.
