LORAINE COUPLE MARRIED IN QUINCY
At St Boniface Catholic church, Seventh and Maine streets, at 7 o'clock Wednesday morning, was solemnized the wedding of Orval Wartick and Miss Agnes Wenning, both of Loraine. The ceremony was celebrated by Rev. Paul Reinfels, of whose parish the couple are members. The attendants were Joseph Mixx, who served as Best man and Miss Sarah Tenvorde, acting as bridesmaid. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wartick, well known farmers of the Loraine neighborhood, and is himself a farmer. his bride's parents are mr. and Mrs. Herman Wenning, also farmers, and quite well known in and near Loraine.

ORVAL WARTICK OF CAMP POINT DIES AT 80

Services for Orval Lee Wartick, 80, who died Tuesday (May 29, 1973) at 2:15 p.m. in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Christian Church. The Rev John Dorney will officiate. Burial will be in New Loraine Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Lummis Funeral Home.

Mr Wartick was a retired farmer of the Camp Point area. He was born in Honey Creek Township Aug. 31, 1892, a son of John and Orpha Irvin Wartick. He was a member of the Camp Point Christian Church. He married Agnes Wenning Sept, 11, 1913. She died Nov. 10, 1952. He married Mae Beckett Nov. 9, 1957.

Surviving are the widow; four sons, Clarence of Camp Point, Elmo of Bowen, John of Los Angeles, Calif., and Dean of Portales, N.M.; five daughters, Mrs Wilfred (Maxine) Siefkin of Burlington, Iowa; Mrs John (Dorothy) Dyer and Mrs. Ray (Vi) Kerker, both of Quincy, Mrs Russell (Nadine) Scott of West Point, and Mrs Robert (Loretta) Wollbrink of Tiaoga; two brothers, Oscar of Quincy and Walter of Camp Point; three sisters, Mrs Grace Johnson and Mrs Winnie Jacobs, both of Camp Point, and Mrs Gertie Mattis of Quincy; 28 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two step-sons, Don Beckett of LaCrosse, Wis., and Wayne Beckett of St. Joseph, Mo.

Mr Wartick was preceded in death by two sons, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Camp Point Christian Church.
