Addie Hall was born in Oregon Co., Mo. in 1871 and died on April 11, 1948 at Alton, Mo., at the age of 77 years.
She was united in marriage to John Combs in 1887. Twelve children were born to this union.
She professed faith in Christ and was united with the Freewill Baptist Church at Cane Hill, at an early age, and lived a faithful Christian life until her death. We know she now awaits our coming with the angels, robed in spotless white.
Those left to mourn her departure are Arthur Combs of Thayer, Mo.; Henry Combs of Alton, Mo.; Mrs. Ed Storms of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. John Pingleton of Thayer, Mo.; Mrs. Will Crase of Thayer, Mo.; J.W. Combs of Cushing, Okla.; Mrs. Ward Brewer of Myrtle, Mo.; Ernest Combs of Ripley, Okla.; and Mrs. Jack Barnett of Alton, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Tom Lingo of Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother, Johnnie Hall of Alicia, Ark.; 50 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Her husband and three children preceded her in death.
Funeral services were conducted April 13, 1948 at Cotton Creek by Rev. Cecil Cypret and Rev. Davie N. Combs, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.
