63, of Oneida, passed away early Saturday morning, May 12, 1990, at the Scott County Hospital following a lingering illness. She was the daughter of the late Elmer Davis and the late Maude Coffey Davis and was also preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Boutwell; one son, David Norman Boutwell; and one daughter-in-law, Rhonda J. Boutwell. She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Lynn Massengale of Oneida; two sons: Allen Boutwell and wife, Linda and Billy Boutwell, all of Oneida; five granddaughters: Melinda Gowen of Hermitage, Tenn., Patricia Boutwell, Kristy Lynn Massengale, and Amy Rose Massengale, all of Oneida, and Rebecca Ann Potter of Groveland, Fla.; four grandsons: John Allen Boutwell, Jonathan Thomas Boutwell, and Anthony Shannon Boutwell, all of Oneida, and John David Boutwell of Florida; one great-granddaughter, Daniele Potter of Groveland, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, with Rev. Stan Vespie officiating. Dorothy Shoemaker sang and Tammy Shoemaker played the piano. Burial was in the Hazel Valley Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
