DEATH OF WAYNE COUNTY PIONEER

From Loa comes the news of the death of Mrs. Juliette McClellan, one of the pioneer residents Loa, who died Wednesday morning after 3 o'clock after an illness of only a few hours. Mrs. McClellan was in the best of health Tuesday afternoon, and shortly after dinner that evening was suddenly taken sick with a paralytic stroke which was the cause of her death.

She was born in Illinois, September 11, 1840. She emigrated to Utah shortly after, crossing the plains with an ox team company. She was married to H. J. McClellan in Salt Lake, after which they moved to California, thence to Ogden, and last of all moved to this section, where they have lived the past thirty-four years.

Mrs. McClellan was the mother of twelve children. She has forty-seven living grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Mrs. Elsie Stevens, Ernest and W. S. McClellan of Loa, Wayne county, Mrs. Geo. Stevens, Salina, Vernon McClellan, Antelope, Idaho, Tirzah Richardson, Ferron, Emery county, Mrs. Nellie Brian, Twin Falls, Idaho, Ethel Peterson, Ferron, Utah, A. L. McClellan, Burtner, Utah and also George McClellan of Loa and J. G. McClellan of Mackay, Idaho.

The funeral services were held at the meeting house Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
